Oh my, tired again...

I need to get my life in gear... Take life by the horns? Put my nose to the grindstone? Other idioms about not failing at life.

    May I ask how your life is in the wrong (or possibly not in) gear?
    I mean, I thought that college kids were living wild on the edge and taking the bull completely by its horns. You know, drinking and driving and experimenting with drugs and sexually.

    Because that actually might help me out if you had some insight.
